My Story

I've ridden both bicycles and motorcycles all my life. In 1970, I entered my first motorcycle race on Honda QA50 and immediately fell in love racing. For many years, I raced several different motorcycles and became a pretty good rider. I was good enough to win the 1981 Black Jack Enduro Circuit class B champion and won the 1997 Ascot Motocross series. My current bike is a Honda XR600, which I really like for the woods riding we have here in Arkansas.

In 1991, I entered my first mountain bike race and have slowly transitioned to mainly racing bicycles. I've enjoyed some success in my bicycle racing career. In fact, I was a six time Arkansas single speed champion and I won the 2001 Oklahoma 24hr race.

As much fun as I have riding motorcycles and analog bikes, things really changed for me in 2022. That was the year I tried riding an e-mountain bike for the first time. There is so much about e-bikes that remind me of riding motorcycles. They are heavier than analog bikes and are much more planted when riding. I find myself carrying so much more speed than I was able to maintain on my analog bikes. The amount of technology on these bikes makes them so much fun to ride while still being far less complex than riding dirt bikes. When you add the amount of investment Arkansas has made into building world class trails, it is just easier to ride an e-bike than it is to ride dirt bikes and I'm loving it.

I'm currently racing the Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series, which is really what led me to develop the products I offer on my site. Riding an e-bike at pace through some of the rocky Arkansas trails made me realize the frame and motor needed more protection. I developed these products for my own personal bike. So many people wanted to have some for their bikes, I decided to start selling them. One thing is for sure. Every product on this site has been race tested because I use them on my personal equipment.
